One of the most frequently asked questions in the car insurance business today is how to get cheaper car insurance for young women drivers? As you can imagine, the price of car insurance is not very cheap for this demographic. Therefore, we will seek to answer that question in this section.
As a general population, the insurance company statistics have indicated that women drivers are less likely to cause fatalities or cause large amounts of damage than men drivers. We believe this to be true because women tend to by more security and safety conscious than men when it comes to driving.
The first thing a young woman can do to get cheaper car insurance is drive a reasonable vehicle. If the car is reasonable, the insurance company will feel comfortable with ensuring that driver.
Next, the young driver should take one of the many defensive drivers courses available. Since these courses provide real, on the road experience, they can be extremely valuable. Additionally, the insurance company will usually lower your premiums as these courses lower the probability that you will be involved in an accident.
Another way for the young driver to lower their insurance premiums is to get married. With that said, please do not get married simply to save money on your insurance policy.
A fourth option is to ensure you are doing well in school. You will find that many insurance companies will discount your premiums if you are able to maintain a certain GPA.
Just like with any other business, you should seek multiple quotes. Luckily, there are numerous websites that allow you to quickly input your information and see what your rates would be. You will be amazed at the range of quotes that you will be provided.
As we have demonstrated, there really are ways for a young driver to pay less in the form of insurance premiums. We recommend you implement a few of these strategies, as we know that they will help keep your hard earned cash in your pocket, where it belongs.

Statistics revealed by Sainsbury’s Finance show the annual average cost of running a car is now £3,090 – 21.1 per cent higher than this time last year.
And this is largely due to soaring insurance premiums, which together with sky-high fuel costs, has seen many people – in particular young drivers – left wondering whether they can afford to run a car.
Duncan Jones, 18, of Tenison Avenue, Cambridge, bought his 13-year-old Ford Fiesta earlier this year for the modest price of £500.
But after trawling comparison websites for the most competitive car insurance deal, he reluctantly opted for Direct Line which gave him a quote of £3,100 – and this included a 10 per cent discount.
“It’s kind of irritating,” said Duncan, who is going to study agriculture at the College of West Anglia in Milton.
“I bought a car and had some money saved for insurance but it was twice as much as I thought it would be.
“I’m going to sell it over the next couple of weeks as I’m better off spending the money on something else.”
